Yaalini Balathasan received her B.Sc. Eng Degree with Second Class Upper Honors in Computer Engineering from the University of Peradeniya in 2004. She did her industrial training at PriceWaterHouseCoopers Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. She served the university in the capacity of the instructor for 10 months in Java Programming and Digital Design Labs. From Jun 2005 worked at the Ceylon Electricity Board to revive the Management Information System project. She worked at Sri Lanka Telecom PLC from Sep 2006 as the tech lead for Billing System Configuration Team that successfully and smoothly implement billing for broadband, IPTV to multiple network technologies including the customer relationship module which was also was part of the billing system till 2013. Hence enabling the services to launch on time with limited resources using Convergys Geneva Billing System. She received a Masters in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenepura in 2013. From Feb 2016 to Sep 2018 worked as Project Engineer from the procurement to design of the SLT product catalog using MDM inline with TMFORUM Shared Information Model and implementation of the product, customer, reference data and asset cross-reference management. This project was part of the major IT revamp program undertaken to overhaul the CRM and SOA and introduce MDM as part of this revamp.
