Library to the Faculty of Engineering was set up at Kilinochchi in March 2014. It was a long process starting from 1994 onwards, where Professor Navaratnarajah was appointed to establish the Faculty of Engineering. Number of professionals donated books and also some books were purchased through the University allocations. Earlier purchased books were kept at the main library of the University of Jaffna. Finally the Engineering Faculty Library was set up at Kilinochchi in March 2014.

Number of professionals donated books and also some books were purchased through the University allocations. Earlier purchased books were kept at the main library of the University of Jaffna. Finally the Engineering Faculty Library was set up at Kilinochchi in March 2014. The followings provide information of some of the books received to the Faculty Library.
- 998 books were received from the University main library. These were the books donated/purchased from 1994.These were kept in the main library for usage of all University students. Finally transferred to the Engineering Faculty Library.
- 496 books were donated by Dr. K. Sivathasan, son-in-law of Professor A. Thurairajah, and his friends from USA in September 2013.
- 26 books were donated by the IESL NSW chapter from Australia through the IESL head office and IESL NPC chapter in September 2013.
- 68 books were donated by Professor Ampalavanapillai Nirmalathas and his friends from Australia in November 2013.
- 75 books were donated through Engineer Palasanthiran Balendran and his friends from Australia in November 2013.
- 138 of books/Journals/Proceedings were donated by a professor through Mr. Anantharajah Kaneswaran from Australia in December 2013.
- 372 books were donated by Mr. Anantharajah Kaneswaran and his friends from Australia and Singapore in December 2013.
- 142 books were donated by one of “NALAN VIRUMBI” in December 2013.
- 38 books were donated by Engineer Palasanthiran Balendran from Australia in March 2014.
