Senthan Mathavan is lecturing the engineering undergraduates during his visiting appointment at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna from 7th October for a period of a month.

S.Mathavan received the BScEng degree specialized in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 2005. He topped  the batch obtaining GPA 4.0 out of 4.0. From 2005 to 2006, he was an Assistant Lecturer attached to the Mechanical Engineering Department, University of Peradeniya. He obtained the PhD degree in Mechatronics from Loughborough University in the UK, in 2009. Continue reading

The first male hostel, located within Kilinochchi premises University of Jaffna, has been rehabilitated and students were given accommodation on 5th October 2014. Presently, first year students from Faculties of Agriculture and Engineering are occupying the hostel.  There are two students in each room, have been provided with beds, study tables, chairs.
