A solar measuring station with online data transfer facility was installed at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna (UoJ) and operated by Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SEA) from March 2013. It was handed over to the Faculty of Engineering, UoJ on 19th December 2014 by Dr. Thushitha Sugathapala, Director General, SEA to the Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering during a seminar session on sustainable energy development in Northern Province. It is one of the two calibrated solar measuring stations funded by ADB in Sri Lanka.
Seminar on strategic approach for sustainable energy development in Northern Province
A program targeting the concept of energy saving and promoting alternative energy technologies to achieve green electricity consumption was launched by the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority (SLSEA). An interactive full day program was conducted on 19th December 2014 at the Auditorium of Kilinochchi newly built District Secretariat Office, targeting the potential officers from the Government and other organizations.
