In the near future, studies will be launched on biomass-dryer with the focus on improving its efficiency and ultimately to make the dryer system a sustainable one. The outcomes of the researches on dryer will be used to support the small and medium scale industries. Plenty of industries are in need of support in terms of energy. Palmyrah Development Board is such an institution, which has already given their consent to work together in this regard.
We take this opportunity to thank Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority for donating the demonstration system on biomass-dryer and supporting the growth of small and medium scale industries through universities in a sustainable manner. The faculty congratulates Dr. Anburuvel and Ms. H. Krishnarajah for the success in achieving this demonstration setup while thanking their hard work.
