National Construction of Association of Sri Lanka Northern Branch (NCASL NB) together with the World University Services Canada – Sri Lanka (WUSC-SL) launched their Strategic Plan at a Gathering organized on 25th March 2017.
This was held at the Green Grass Hotel & Restaurant, Jaffna. Here the chief guest was Eng. S. Shanmuhananthan, Deputy Chief Secretory – Engineering Services of the Northern Province, Guests of honor were Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Country Director of the WUSC-SL, Chairman of the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka. This strategic plan was mainly focused on empowering the construction companies in Northern Region through training and professional development program. These are specially focused on construction safety, green building concept etc. These are the major areas, which were lagging in today’s contest in the construction works. As a result the function was organized by Eng. N. Nantharupan, Chairman of the NCASL NB. It was important to note that the University has major role to play in these Continuous Professional Development Program for the construction industries. Due to this reason the University was also integrated in this function. The outcome of this event expected to be very fruitful collaboration among the WUSC SL, NCASL NB and the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Jaffna, which will bring the nation with safe and green environment with new construction.
