Mr. D.S. Sampath, delivered guest lecturers to postgraduates and undergraduates of Faculty of Engineering University of Peradeniya. Dr. A.G.H.J. Edirisinghe, Head, Department of Civil Engineering, University of Peradeniya invited Mr. Sampath to deliver guest lectures on “Open source GIS and applications using QGIS”.
Sampath did lectures for undergraduates those who followed CE 596 – GIS and RS for Civil Engineers subject on 8th and 9th May 2017. Around 100 undergraduate students attended the lectures and laboratory classes.
Sampath also delivered a lecture to postgraduates those who follows CE 689 – GIS and RS in Water resources and CE 764 – GIS for highway and transportation engineering on 6th May 2017. Around 50 students attended the lectures and laboratory classes.
