The administrative team includes Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Professor A. Atputharajah, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering – Dr. T. Thiruvaran and Head of the Department of Computer Engineering – Dr. A. Kaneswaran visited to the California State Polytechnic University in USA. This was done on 8th June afternoon. This visit was coordinated by Dr. Siva K. Sivathasan, who is Vice President and Principal Engineer of the Converse Consultants Company, and supported by care for education.
The potential places were the carrier guidance center. It was excellent to see the graduates from this University were guided properly to be employed to their correct professional jobs. Number of industries interactions events, students’ soft skills development including dress code and dedicated and large carrier guidance center. Meeting with the Dean of the Faculty emphasis their curriculum more towards industry needs and where number of visiting professors appointed from industry to teach. Finally the design section professor was informing how the Engineering degree is differ from the Engineering Technology degree. The ABET and Washington accord accreditations were also discussed in detail with the relevant professors.
