Tasks completed in the Year of 2019
Introduced 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize and sustain) method for better office and File maintenance.
Organized a workshop on “Effective Teaching & Learning” to all Academic Staff at the faculty of Engineering. The resource person in Eng. M. Vignarajah, the accreditation Manager of Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna.
IQAC Engineering web page updated.
IESL recognition team visited to civil, electrical and mechanical departments and conduced the evaluation.
Department of Civil Engineering was given IELS full recognition and other departments are waiting for IESL council decision.
The script was prepared for faculty video clip and forwarded to department of media studies to further process.
Accreditation manager conducted workshop about score analysis. Score analysis provides clear/ evident information whether the ILOs are archived or not.
Dean, Heads of department, accreditation manager, IQAC Coordinators were participated the program review workshop. The workshop is all about how to write self- evaluation report. After the workshop, it was decided to submit one report for faculty. The letter of intend to participate program review has also submitted to UGC. The members for program review was nominated and it was approved in last faculty board. The self-evaluation report needs to be submitted by 20th march 2020.
IQAC monthly meeting was arranged during the year.
All course files were checked and identified the missing items from each course files.
IQAC requested ADPC to prepare comprehensive feedback of the faculty of academic program.
Ms. Mathuranthagaa has been nominated E- Repository coordinator and she is in the processing collecting the conference paper and journal paper abstracts.

Attended the workshop on preparing for IESL accreditation
Program review committee was formed to prepare the program review self-evaluation report. Nine subcommittee was arranged with program review committee members and the self- evaluation report was successfully submitted in August 2020. 60% of evidences have already been collected and we are in the process of collecting remaining evidence of program review.
IQAC requested to ADPC to develop employer feedback, employee feedback form , peer observation form and student feedback form.
Accreditation manager conducted workshop about score analysis. Sore analysis provides clear/ evident information whether the ILOs are achieved or not.
Course coordinators are in the process of preparing score analysis sheet for last two semester subjects.

Civil and Electrical department heads are working to prepare the SAR for the IESL accreditation which is a challenging task as its leads to the international recognition to the engineering degree offered by the University of Jaffa.
Vice chancellor instructed to reconstitute the committee of IQAC according to the policy on Internal Quality Enhancement System and Framework, approved by the council of the University of Jaffna at its 410th meeting held on 28th March 2016. The following members were added to IQAC committee: (1)Dean, (2) Head of the Departments, (3) Coordinator/ IQAC, (4) Chairman of Curriculum Development, (5) Chairman of Research committee, (6) Chairman of Higher Degree Committee, (7) Deputy Proctor, (8) Advisor of Career Guidance, (9) Coordinator of UBL, (10) Coordinator of Industrial Training Unit, (11) Senior Assistant Librarian, (12) Department Representative.
Professor. R. Sri Rajan did fantastic presentation on how to do effective teaching and learning through E- Learning systems. He has long years of experiences on doing online teaching and learning from university of Manitoba. Our faculty librarian is working with him get the access of journal papers.
