Dr T. Mukunthan received Honours degree of BSc Eng. in the specialization of Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in 2014.

His career started as a Software Engineer at MillenniumIT, London Stock Exchange Group(LSEG) and got promoted to Senior Software Engineer and Specialist Software Engineer. In the 4 years career at MillenniumIT, he had worked in the development of faster and reliable exchange system components and required libraries and tools for capital markets using contemporary Software Engineering concepts and technologies. In addition to that, he has experience in web application, IoT and Blockchain application development as well.

He has also worked as Visiting Lecturer at Department of Computer Engineering, the University of Jaffna from February 2017 to October 2017. He is an Associate Member of the IESL. He's Presently attached to the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
