Nowadays, deep learning techniques are also applied in the renewable energy sector. Some applications are load forecasting, Solar PV power forecasting, wind turbine failure classifications, and Solar irradiance forecasting based on cloud movement. This talk covers the basics of deep learning, including linear neural networks, multilayer perceptron, convolutional neural networks (CNN), and recurrent neural networks (RNN). Further, it will also be discussed how these CNN and RNN architectures can be used for different applications in the renewable sector.
Team of THREE-Lanka Project- UoJ Centre cordially invites you all to participate in this virtual talk on “ Deep Learning Basics and its Application for Renewable Energy ” which is delivered by Dr. K. Ahilan, Senior Lecturer, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Jaffna.
